Logitech keyboard goodies
Are you one of those hardcoregamers and you can't remember what life was like before you owned your Logitech G-series keyboard? Than this article has your name written all over.
I will show you some cool ways to use your LCD equipped bashboard.
LCDSirReal
First we start of with the applet I like the most; LCDSirReal. This applet can show you all kinds of stats we gamers like to see such as FPS, CPU load and temperatures. The applet has slots which can be configured to show you just the stats you like. For a general idea you can take a peak over at the LCDSirReal website.
Setting things up is as easy as downloading, installing and editing the provided "lcdsirreal.txt" file in the programs install directory. The configuration is pretty selve explanatory, comments are provided in the file.
For some of the functionality to work it does require third party programs running. It can use Speedfan for temperature readouts (as well as other Speedfan stats). Besides speedfan it also has support for Teamspeak, Fraps, CoreTemp, WinAmp and iTunes.
G15 TaskManager
Ever had a game crashing on you and whatever you tried you could not get it to exit?
I've been stuck with a weird crashed app before resulting in either low resolutions which makes it impossible to do anything or just a hanging screen and windows not showing up with the taskmanager. For these kind of situations I started using G15 Taskmanager.
The program's name says it all, a task manager right there on your G15 LCD screen. It makes it possible to navigate through all runing processess and just kill the once you'd like. The author's german, the program as well so setting it up might require a bit of your linguistic side.
Once you get it running you can go to the settings of the applet by opening it up from the windows tray. Click the down-arrow icon and the settings window will popup.
To have the applet minimize itself on windows startup select "Applet miniem starten". To have it sort by name check the radio "Sortieren nach namen" and check either "Absteigend" for descending or "Aufsteigend" for ascending.
